Anyhow, this happened:

http://trekmovie.com/2017/05/17/breakin ... discovery/

It's all beautiful nonTrek. I hate to prejudge but... I will. I just lovvvvvve the tone-deaf design. Such a lost opportunity to explore the antecedents to Jefferies and repackage them in a cool but sensible way. That communicator- a slim version of the worst communicator ever (the pack of cigarettes box from TWoK) and those uniforms (yet another for the umpteenth time total reimagining, only this time with a certain JJ flair). An ENT tricorder. The Klingons and Sarek and all of it. It has no connection to anything we knew except it does, just not what it should. It's just... a big, beautiful something else.

Which is fine. It wasn't made for me.

Meh. Wasn't anything in the trailer that reached out and grabbed me.

I'm more looking forward to the last couple of Star Trek Continues episodes.

It looks interesting. I don't hate it. I'm not ramped up for it. Some things will undoubtedly bug me. But I can say all that and more about TNG.
