Maybe. I don't know. I would like to see new SFX eventually done that point up these subtle differences. I think it would be better for following the action the more they have distinguishing features.

I have cataloged the various versions of the Enterprise model, Jefferies' 3-view draft, and the construction blueprints, etc. I think those various takes - along with FJ's revision and Jefferies' Phase II revision - should determine our understanding of the differences among those twelve ships.

Unfortunately, those PDFs of your Valiant art crash my CS3 Illustrator when I try to open them. I've never really seen anything like this and on the assumption it is a compatibility issue between CS3 and my Macbook Pro, I have gotten hold of a CS5 copy and am going to try that. I will let you know what happens.

One of the delights of Ships of the Star Fleet was seeing ships that were the exact same class, same year, and still had differences.

TOS-R tried a bit to do that for Ultimate Computer.

Absolutely. And given the power of a computer, I intend to go way beyond that book by showing how all twelve of them looked, and more. Plus those ten ships at Starbase 11. All that has been hiding in the shadows for too long.

Unfortunately those PDFs make even the CS5 crash. :(

Darn!! :x

Well, I can't think of anything else unfortunately. If nothing else you can pull the PNG images from my Valiant thread/Photobucket account to trace from and redraw the portions you need or use as a guide.

Yes, I can Save As an EPS. Never used that format. Would he be able to edit vectors and so forth with it?

Wow it's been a long time since I have opened an .eps file. It is quite bulky compared to a .pdf iirc, but it is an Adobe format, so it is worth a shot.

But I will bet dollars to donuts it will have the same problems as a pdf.
