Hmmm... The interesting part of this theory is the notion that Trump could win. Obviously they're not coming from a future where Mrs. Clinton became president.

I haven't heard anyone convince me that either of the party's presumptive nominees would be anything but disastrous. I don't believe either of them can even spell Constitution and they both think the first amendment is convenient toilet paper. (Clinton hates the second amendment and Trump hasn't been bothered to learn what it is.)

I'm going to go drink heavily now.

I agree with you Bill, but I see Hillary as just another failed presidency that would leave lasting scars at the Federal Reserve and SCoTUS.

Trump I see as the end of the Republic.

So I see this year as 1776 or 1860. It's that consequential. But the awful thing is, even if we dodge this Trump bullet, this is just the beginning. Trump and his supporters aren't going away. They are going to grow. And anyone that would support him for the presidency isn't thinking of basic things like, what is he going to do when congress laughs at him and keeps doing nothing? I somehow don't think he'll point at the Constitution and say his hands are tied. Nor will he point to the voters and say they elected the congress. What will he do? The fact that is even a question makes him unsuitable for the presidency.

Even here in Europe and particularly in Belgium Politics and lobbyists rule the country causing more and more malfunction, strikes and breakdown. We call that "Belgium Bashing" and especially since the March 22 attacks in Brussels. I think that a such bureaucratic and torned apart Europe could trigger Civil Wars for independance.

Trump and Clinton are dinosaurs. We, folks, are mammals. Let the evolution make its job! :D

for some odd reason that made me curious if we're now back on the original Morlock v Eloi timetrack after a brief fickle period of flirting with the Idiocracy future... ; )

I've been drinking since Cruz dropped out. Probably before. From here on out I'll accelerate. After November I'll have to sober up enough to clean the guns. (For defensive purposes.)

I suppose the nice thing is that I don't have any optimism regardless of who wins. Sorry, aridas, I think this'll be a rough spot for the Republic either way. But I don't believe it will be the end. (I'm not sure if I'm about to launch into a Kirk or Doctor Who speech...)

Hey, in the middle of the apocalypse we invent warp drive, right?
